Guest guest
It's my son's birthday, so I'm mostly focusing on him today. He's taking a nap, so I'm stealing a moment. Nay sayers aside, I'm still functioning much better, vertigo still gone, lip-reading unnecessary, digestive system moving painlessly (for once). Usual other symptoms still the same. Don't know how long these improvements will last but I'm taking full advantage. Did a little shopping today (for the birthday boy). I did not have the usual crowd moving induced nausea, the world is not whirling around me, what a difference. Big smile on my face made for easy bits of conversation with friendly fellow travellers. Treated myself to spending idle time in art galleries and book stores (could enjoy the Vivaldi), did not fall over once (though a little weak kneed and wobbly when getting up). By five my usual 'kill me now' headache was in full swing, time for usual meds, headache under control again. Managed to do the three day's worth of dishes too. Smoking less (a lot less), might be able to quit by the first day of summer. Would have come to chat, but my son is my priority today (he's 24). My mother in law arrives tomorrow (love her) so bussing it to the airport, haven't seen her in 6 years, can do with the hugs. Doctors still not working, offices closed, getting sick not an option. Remembered the buttermilk too, thanks to Deborah's yeast question. Jan, happy to hear you've survived the scorpion (gotta ask, what kind was it?) Gotta go, special day, required offering of yummy animal served with gnocchi in herbed butter and garlic sauce (animal was raised on the range and grass fed.)
