Guest guest
I saw my doctor and nutritionist the other day.... and something else odd happened... well, it was odd for me.... I have a Body Fat Analyzer done every month.... Last month on the 20th... I weighed 156# and had a Fat Mass of 46% .... Total Body Muscle 80.51#. This month... on the 24th... I weighted 155# and had a Fat Mass of 29%.... Total Body Muscle 92 #. Okay.... now I have NOT increased any exercise program... as a matter of fact I've slacked off... can anyone explain this phenomenon? The Nutriontionist said she had no idea what did this and has only seen it in one other person and thought it was an error in the equipment... she said she sent this other person over to another agency to do it on their equipment and had the same reading. (This had been some time ago)... Any suggestions? Has this happened to any of you? Betty ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ I don't suffer from insanity.... I enjoy every minute of it. Guest guest
Yup, a lot has to do with your hydration. If you didn't have enough water in your system then the results will be skewed, showing as they did last month...a fat mass of 46%. This time when you went you probably had enough water in your system to get a truer result. Amazing that we no sooner have a discussion in my live support group then I see the topic here on the grads group. I asked my surgeon why the body composition always shows a different target weight. Does it every say good girl! You're at your goal!! He said no, it's a mathematical equation. It takes the water in your body, multiplies by something, comes up with results that give your body composition and then thinks that X number is a perfect composition, always gives a target weight. So now I'll use it as the tool it is...and not stress about the numbers!
