Shirley:

I know that at times this can be very upsetting and things can get you down. I know of no better way for me to get close to God , then my garden. Many a times I've gone outside and just worked and talked to him and tolded him everything that is going on in my life. I've had many up's and down's in the road of life. Some have been harder then other's, but somehow we learn from them. I wouldn't want do them again, I've learned the lesson that I needed to and I know that I'm stronger because of it. For whatever reason you have these bumps in the road now, just know that God is there and he is listening to you also when your working in his garden. My prayer''s are with you.

God Bless

Vera

A Basketful of Good Wishes for you.

Hi,

You do not know me, but I have been part of the list. I just wanted to add that I too love the garden and has made me feel closer to God and also a stress reducer. I have a bay window in our kitchen and we sit on a hill and I look out to the sky and see heaven. I am really kind of sentimental right now. Ralph went out on disability in September and I have not handle things real well. We are in the process of having to sale the house. Please keep us in your prayers. Thanks and God Bless! Vera,

You're last sentence really made me smile."The special place to be

with God." I have always said I felt closer to God when I worked in

the garden. It gives me such a peace and tranquility. Most people

thought I was crazy when I told them I felt that way. I am glad to

see you also feel that way. I think the rose garden idea is

wonderful! I hope that you can find the special place for it in your

yard. I am sure you will since you really want it. I didn't know that

California had a lot of red clay also. It sure is an obstacle. A

battle though that we will win! I have been moving my rose bushes to

other places in my yard. I planted a tree in my rose garden. I know

that wasn't a smart thing to do because it takes too much sun from he

roses. That's ok because nothing stays in one place for too many

years in my gardens anyway. I only have one more rose bush to move

and I will be done. I am going to plant in there lantana. The pink

and yellow variety. They are real pretty also. It is too bad that we

can't swap flowers. That would be nice. I guess we could but it would

be easier if we lived closer instead of trying to mail things. I am

not good at using snail mail for anything. Remembering to buy stamps

is something I have a hard time doing. I am going to try and get my

husband or daughter to take me to the plant man tomorrow. That is

what I call this guy you comes to Georgia to sell plants twice a

year. He knows me well!

God bless,

Belinda
