Guest guest
Dear Listmates, I decided to try GSE with my daughter since she's home for awhile. Since she's 13 and weighs about 100 lbs., I followed the recommendation for her age group for the dosage of 1 tablet which has 125 mg of GSE or the equivalent of 12-15 drops. The brand is Nutribiotic. After last nights episode and today's behavior, I'm assuming this was too much for her. She was wide awake up until 2:00 a.m. She' been miserable all day, with many trips to the bathroom to urinate, whining and crying, spaced out and doing all kinds of bizarre facial and body movements. I don't want to give her any more until I get some advice from any of you parents who have gone through this with your child and tell me this may be normal reaction to yeast die off. How should I proceed from here? Thank you in advance to anyone whom can help me, [ ] , Devin Re: No-Fenol, Yeast,/ Celia > Celia, > I would think the GSE + No-Fenol would cause more toxin release > resulting from more yeast death. Guest guest
-, I would have to say that she is having either a yeast die off,Phenol reation or both. If she is sensative to phenols then it might be too much for her. Are you using the no-fenol? If so than it is probably just a bad yeast die off. You may want to start much lower dose and slowly work up to it. I know the tablets arent breakable I don't think but if you get the liquid you can ramp up the doseage. Good luck and just know I have been there, my son had NASTY yeast and a beastly die off at christmas time. Guest guest
My son had similar reaction to GSE. Now we started No-Fenol, and he does not have this reaction to GSE any more. I would recommend trying it in combination with a low dose of No-Fenol. Also, do you give this tablet once per day? I would recommend you divide the tablet and give it 2-3 times per day. A little die off over the course of the entire day, is easier to handle than a massive die off once per day. Also, the massive die off would be followed by the remaining yeast fighting back, causing major cravings. So her body would be dealing with toxins from dying yeast, plus the living ones fighting back. Not fun. Dana
Guest guest
Dear Dana, Thanks so much for the tip about dividing the GSE tablet into three doses along with small amounts of no-phenol. The die-off reaction was much shorter today, thank goodness. Should I also use the activated charcoal and milk thistle? I only used the charcoal today, giving it about 1 and 1/2 to 2 hours after the GSE/no-phenol combo. When do I stop using the charcoal...when I stop seeing die-off behaviors? Thanks for your help, [ ] Re: GSE troubles! > > > Dear Listmates, > > I decided to try GSE with my daughter since she's home for > awhile. I don't use activated charcoal, so I don't know anything much about it. Milk thistle is for liver support, primarily for chelating but can be used for liver support for any reason.
