I have a question for anyone out there that may have experienced this. Right

now I am dealing with some sort of infection with Chrissie. I think that it

is sinus.

She was put on an antibiotic that resulted in a skin rash, taken off and now

started on somethng different. Yesterday when she stood up, granted she did

spend most of the day in her recliner, the veins in her legs looked liked

they would pop right out.

From the calf of her leg to just over the knee, it looked like you could just

pull them out. They were bulging out. No edema at all around the ankles or

anywhere else for that matter. When she lies down the veins recede. Today the

same thing although not as prominent. I suspect it is something to do with

b/p, but wonder if it is something that I should be concerned about.

The good news is that the antibiotic has resolved the constipation problem

for the moment, but resulting in stomach pain. Oh well, another day in the

life of MSA.

Thanks for being here.

Jean,

My guess is that it is some sort of BP problem also. However, when in doubt,

ask

the doctor. :o) Contrary to the old saying

When in danger or in doubt,

run in circles, scream and shout " .

It is always best to get professional advice :o) amateur advice is worth what

you

pay for it :o) Charlotte did have varicose veins which were worse at times. I

can not remember any specific medicine we used for that problem.

Take care, Bill Werre

Jean,

I'm a little late in catching up with my email so I'm sure by now you have

received a lot of good information from others on the list.

I can say that I get a rash from just about everything these days. I

tried blaming it on one thing then another only to finally figure out that

it is just my MSA and a faulty immune system.

As for the veins in the legs... I can't be of much help here either. Mine

never do what you mentioned. I have a low blood pressure most of the time

which gives me poor circulation in my extremities. From my knees down and

elbow's down, I am usually some shade of purple or blue with the extremities

ice like. When my blood pressure is closer to normal, my face gets beet red

and my feet and hands burn like I have put them in a fire.

The above is not really why I wrote. I write because I heard my husbands

voice saying your last sentence. That you cleared up one thing only to have

2 others pop up. I wish I could give both of you a great big hug. I'm

truly sorry about the problems you are facing. Hang in there. We will be

praying for both of you.

Hugs,

Deborah aka Tenacity
