Guest guest
Hi Fellow Grads: For me, it's 2 years post-op, as of 10/09/02. Minus: 225 lbs. Plus: Living life with passion... And finally HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY!!! =) Life is no longer an abyss. I look forward to waking up in the morning. Yes, maintaining and/or continuing to move toward goal is difficult and a daily struggle, but it's nothing compared to what climbing a flight of stairs was at 408+ pounds. It's not Thanksgiving yet, but my 2nd-year Rebirthiversary is a perfect time to again express my undying gratitude to the greatest best friend in the world, who helped pull me through the complications, pain, and struggles pre- and post-op, to the surgeon who saved my life (The Sainted Dr. Wetter in the SF Bay Area of California), to my sweetheart, who loves me exactly as I am--hanging skin, no belly button, enstein scars, and MUCH too cheerful in the morning now (it's not *MY* fault that cheerful Broadway tunes emanate from the shower each morning now *innocent grin* ;-)-- and to all of you--with all of your combined experiences... I've learned so much from all of you, I've laughed and cried with you, and I've shared my own struggles and joys. I didn't mean to write a novel here, but I just get so darned happy and grateful!!!! ;-) Staci Message: 16 Date: Mon, 7 Oct 2002 14:51:51 -0700 Subject: Re: 4 Year Rebirth Anniversary Congrats! There are a lot of WLS bdays this month, huh? Bob A was also an Oct man. I'm just glad I did it. And the usual, wish I'd done it sooner. n Well, I tried, late 1993, but my ins wouldn't hear of it. m
