We're right there with ya, babe!! After my RNY on 5-11-01, my union health & welfare insurance REVISED it's policy to EXCLUDE ANY WEIGHT RELATED COVERAGE ... ANYTHING. YOU NOW GET NOTHING. ZILCH. NADA. The union is basing their decision upon the Alaska " economy " and the tanking " oil market, " and say they can't afford it. I say that CAN'T afford NOT to have it!! I've personallysaved them thousands since my surgery! They won't listen and just don't get it. I feel very blessed that I got in the window when I did. I feel very angry for those that didn't. Guest guest
This is a test. When I post - I keep getting that STUPID " lyris@ " message. I'm blocking it in my controls. Didn't block as last time, it was " lyris-admin@ " and THIS time, it was symply " lyris@ " ... so I'm blocking BOTH. Hopefully now, those tricky little devils can't catch me! I do it quick and dirty - two scoops protein in 4 ozs water w/two ice cubes - blended. Takes 1 minute. Also, as advice I've seen often here, have you checked with your doc about SLD? For me, it's just a matter of fighting hunger and carb cravings. I've been where you are - and a quick protein shake is my saviour. (Granted, it's not pasta or french fries - but it helps me to just have a bite or two and not the whole serving!) Guest guest
I also don't quite have a handle on why talking about calcium ends up so bitter and personal. It's just calcium. I suggest if people don't like what they read, they just disagree with it or ignore it and not turn it into such obvious personal vendettas. It would be a shame if this list blew up because we can't discuss calcium. KABOOB! What was that? Above ground nuclear testing at the Nevada Test Site? No, the graduate group just blew up from from excessive calcium discussion! OK, everybody in favor of starting the " Everything WLS under the sun but Calcium list " raise your hand.
