Guest guest
I had a bone density scan last week and got a copy of the report. I know I fall in the normal range, but I don't know what the range is and you know how we grads want to know every detail! The report states my average bone density is 198.7 mg/cc. The average for an age matched control is 143.2 +/- 26 mg/cc. The patient's bone density represents a Z score of 2.14 and a T score of 1.17. What the heck are Z and T scores? I want to make sure I'm well away from osteopenia. I'm 48 and 21 months post-op. I believe my labs are pretty good, with the exception of zinc which was 775 (range 670- 1240). And I don't see anywhere on the report a valuation for Vitamin A. Is it ever called something else? Oh, and my ferritin is 43 (range 10-232) I have nothing to compare that one with and I'm not sure what ferritin is. Thanks for your help. in Akron
