,

Just a couple of guidelines. First if the stool is black, the blood is

coming from the stomach or intestine. two, if the blood is red, it is coming

from the end of the GI tract or Hymroids.(sp)

Since he is eating and loosing weight, I would bet it is coming from the

small intestine, stomach ulcer, and possibly the large intestine, but I

doubt it.

The areas of food absorption are the stomach and small intestine.

Loss of weight in this situation is common because normal nutrient

absorbsion is disrupted by the bleeding site and inflammation in the

intestine.

I don' know if this helps, I hope so. Good luck and God speed.

God Bless,

Dear ,

You and Warren will be in our prayers. I wish I had some answers for you, but

I don't. Let us know how it goes tomorrow and try to get yourself some rest.

Much love,

Jean & Chrissie

I'm so sorry to hear Warren is having trouble. I just wanted you to

know that Elmer lost weight the last year once he got to the point where

it was hard for him to eat or took a long time to eat. His blood count

also was down I think due to not consuming enough food and of course

liquid. His room was so full of goodies the nurses always laughed they

could go to his room for their breaks because he had everything there to

eat.

The last trip he made to the hospital for blood and IV fluids was the

time he made me promise never to let them take him back to the hospital

again, no matter what. I promised and he never went back.

Aussie Anne no longer had digestive movement. If she could get it down,

it had no place to go but come back up.

I'm thinking about you and hoping you are pacing yourself. Elmer did

have a final stroke his last night and closed his eyes. He didn't open

them again but I know he knew we were all there with him that last 24

hours.

Take care and give Warren a big hug from Kansas
