Pam,

I think Barbara Woodford is familiar with this type of research - are you

still on the list Barbara? This seems (to me) to be a case where they could

use somatic cell nuclear transfer to correct genetic problems. If so then

this would be banned for humans under Senator Brownback's Bill to prevent ALL

types of human cloning. This is out of my field, but I read it as that type

of experimentation which is okay for fruitflies but not for humans if the law

passes.
