Guest guest
Hi I was just wondering about COQ10 because my neurologist said he didn't know if it would help me or not but at this point if I wanted to try it he didn't see why I shouldn't. He told me alot of things were discovered by trial and error. I know that it is very expensive here but if it works I could care less how much it costs. How does it make you feel when you take it, Bill? Marty, how does your wife feel when she takes it? My neurologist also said my enzymes were real high and said I might also have mitochondrial disease. I know I have been on their web support group site and alot of them said it has helped them. I guess if your doctor said its ok then listen to your doctor. Guest guest
Hi Belinda, Bill: See interlines below: At 10:49 PM 5/28/02 +0000, you wrote: Hi I know that it is very expensive here but if it works I could care less how much it costs. I see that one can get it for $0.50/pill at 100mg. How does it make you feel when you take it, Bill? Marty, how does your wife feel when she takes it? Annette has no side effects from it. Also it is not clear what the benefit will/might be but its worth trying. Anything is at this point. My neurologist also said my enzymes were real high and said I might also have mitochondrial disease. I know I have been on their web support group site and alot of them said it has helped them. Belinda, do any of those people have neurological problems? I guess if your doctor said its ok then listen to your doctor. God bless, Belinda Regards, Marty Siegel
Guest guest
Marty, I have enclosed what Mitochondrial Disease is. This also might be why some of my symptoms are different and why I have a lot of pain. Like I have said before I have been diagnosed with CBGD and not MSA but I have been diagnosed with Mitochondrial Disease also. I agree with you if COQ10 works it doesn't matter what the cost. I am definitely going to try it. My doctor told me I should I just haven't yet. God bless, Belinda Mitochondrial Disease Basis of the Disease Mitochondrial diseases result from failures of the mitochondria, specialized compartments present in every cell of the body except red blood cells. Mitochondria are responsible for creating more than 90% of the energy needed by the body to sustain life and support growth. When they fail, less and less energy is generated within the cell. Cell injury and even cell death follow. If this process is repeated throughout the body, whole systems begin to fail, and the life of the person in whom this is happening is severely compromised. The disease primarily affects children, but adult onset is becoming more and more common. Diseases of the mitochondria appear to cause the most damage to cells of the brain, heart, liver, skeletal muscles, kidney and the endocrine and respiratory systems. Depending on which cells are affected, symptoms may include loss of motor control, muscle weakness and pain, gastro-intestinal disorders and swallowing difficulties, poor growth, cardiac disease, liver disease, diabetes, respiratory complications, seizures, visual/hearing problems, lactic acidosis, developmental delays and susceptibility to infection. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------- > >Hi > > I know that it is very expensive > >here but if it works I could care less how much it costs. > > I see that one can get it for $0.50/pill at 100mg. > > >How does it > >make you feel when you take it, Bill?
