Krista,

The neurologist gives my husband, Sheldon, Botox shots for back and neck spasms. The needle is very small and painless. He gets the shots all over his back and neck area, many shots. The first time he received them they were not effective. She has increased the dosage and they seem to help more. The effect of the Botox wears off in about three months and then your mother would have to receive more shots. The neurologist said that eventually the body will build up an immunity to the shots and they will no longer be effective.

It is worth a try for your mother. It may help her to be more comfortable.

Love and gentle hugs,

Verlene
