Guest guest
Dear Lou: I am a caregiver for my husband Bob who has SDS. For years - off and on - I have had cramps in my legs at night. Sometimes I will go for months and not have them and other times I will get them a few times a week. I have not had them lately. Years ago they sold Quinine Tabs at the Drugstore. I can't remember the name of them but they don " t have them anymore. Now I have a prescription for the tabs from the Doctor for Quinine Sulfate Tabs - 260 mg. I only take them when I need one and it takes a little while to help. Bob used to help me by rubbing my leg and help me walking around but he is not capable of that now so I am glad I have the prescription. I told the Dr. I drank Tonic Water when I had the cramps but she said I would have to drink too much to help. Hope this helps.
