Guest guest
Yo, Dear Friend...Louise is simply too tired to`pute. Y'all are TOO prolific wif you emails. Jan is plagued with bone/skin deterioration holes and the local Dr. has ordered another hour each week (2 hours weekly now since we ambulance hauled him to clinic at home health agencies request and Dr. learned that nurse(s) were unaware that Jan had been unable to sit for over a year) and now I've a little help with dressings although I had to teach them procedures that maintain rather than exacerbate the wounds. Seems that many regular practices and meds enlarge Jan's wounds - when they are FINALLY acknowledged. I despair. The 1,000 pound man syndrome wears me out. We get 5 bath hours in addition to the now doubled nurse hour. The aide requires assistance in lifting . Jan requires turning some 60 times day and night each week. The aide helps 5 times - I am on my own for the rest of the time. Rolling 6'4 " 180# ? Jan takes its toll on my 74 year old overweight 125 " bod already taxed with years of only 2 1/2 consecutive hours of sleep. SO, that is the CAREGIVER COMPLAINT from Springhill. WISH I could do more to make him comfortable. Wish he were not mute. His eyes still light up when the phone is held to his ear and when he can view the outdoors from a side position. He does not seem to feel pain as " normal " people do but wants assurance that I am nearby to suction him at ALL times. Someone should do something about the weather! Temps and humidity here go up and down like a yo yo. Already late for 12 0 clocks. I'm still lurking if not posting. Thanks for asking about us - or are there 2 Louises now? Wish you many good days and much better weather up your way. LA Louise in Springtime/Summer Springhill.
