Betty DHEA? , I have just started hubby and myself of DHEA. But I haven't been able to find much about it on the internet. Do have any good informative links on this subject? I think that is the correct term...if not..please correct me...it causes the body to manufacture testosterone. I believe it is considered a supplement, so isn't regulated by the FDA. If you are male, and want to take this compound, please, make sure you are getting a yearly PSA test and the rectal exam (DRE) for prostate cancer. I have mentioned this before, but it concerns me to hear people taking this drug and possibly not considering the ramifications. Prostate cancer feeds off of testosterone. So before taking any of these types of supplements, get these other tests done first, and clear it with your urologist first. Would hate to see you shorten your life just for a little added zip now. Also, it can cause a rise in cholesterol, though most of us don't have that worry.
