Guest guest
Hi all, I may have seen this before and not recognized it as part of MSA but Warren is in the hospital after having a couple of days of diaherra and vomitting showing possible blood. They verified that he is bleeding internally but haven't been able to define it. He 's had the Upper Gi's today and nothing. Going to do a colonoscopy tomorrow and if not there through the nose into the stomach. This all came on rather suddenly, but has to have been building up. They've given him 3 pints of blood and have him hydrated again. I really don't know what to expect from the next exams. I think Aussie Annie had something like this but don't know positively. Have any of you " long timers " had this? Two weeks ago he had two " mini-strokes " and has been very confused since then but was eating okay. The nurses had told me he was losing weight and he ate everything (even stuff he wouldn't at home) and I kept him supplied with other goodies he requested. I don't write as often as I used to but sure read everything that comes along. Thanks, S.
Guest guest
, My dad, 82, has MSA and has had similar problems. His hemoglobin has been low, he was hospitalized and was in ICU for 3 days with his hemoglobin at 5. He was given blood then and they did a colonoscopy and endoscopy. Both came out ok. They could not find the source of the blood loss. He has since been taken off his celebrex and has had 1 transfusion each month. He did not have any stroke symptoms at that time though he has in the past. Jean (phoenix)
