Have you guys tried red tea (Rooibos)? It's an African red bush tea with all of the benefits of green tea WITHOUT caffeine. It's really yummy iced or hot. The Republic of Tea makes a few good ones that can be found at many coffee shops, Fresh Fields, etc. Good stuff! 2) I like reading the daily OA stuff! I, for one, subscribe to the daily digest and if there's something I don't want to read, I just skip it. This is a board for everyone and no one should be censored as long as they aren't giving out negligent misinformation or harming others. 3) I enjoy reading Ray's posts, especially because he provides links to reports to back up his claims. I think that alone should outweigh his need for any qualifications because he is citing the scientific research to back it up. Once again, if we don't want to read it, ignore it. Fussing about it seems counterproductive and is not helpful to those of us who benefit from this information. Guest guest
But who is any of us to say what should and should not be posted? Should we be given a list of what we are allowed to say? Should we belittle and shut down those with opinions different from our own? How should we decide who sets the rules? Most of us are exploring new methods of weight loss. Awhile back some people were raving about Curves. I have my opinion about that program but chose not to share it because if it works for others, more power to them. What right do I have to pee on their parade? The wonderful thing is that when anyone of us discovers something new and exciting, we feel so charged and motivated, we just want to share our experience with others who understand our enthusiasm. Even if others don't agree with our methods, surely those who are supportive will be glad for our success, and proud of us for having the open minds to explore new attitudes. Some things we may rave about until others are ready to puke will end up not working out in the long run, and off we will be on another subject. In fact, it's fun to look at old posts and see where we have been. What seems to direly important today may well be forgotten tomorrow. So let's be tolerant and supportive so long as we remain on our primary topic, our journey in weight loss and creating new, healthy lifestyles.. And if I want to sing my worm song once in awhile, let me. Smiles, Vicki A. > Meagan said: > > > 2) I like reading the daily OA stuff! Guest guest
It's NOT important for me to share my OPINION. It doesn't matter a whit what I think because I'm not practicing that program anyway, so why should I say anything? It doesn't mean the program is bad or that it doesn't work for others. Now, if I happened to find out there was something inherently dangerous about the program, then I would pass it on for consideration. I am here to give and get support, to contribute in a positive manner.
