Guest guest
The Stevia PILL I am referring to is a product of the same plant - the Stevia plant, but in a different form - hasn't been fiddled with to become the sweetener, rather it is the leaf itself, compressed and shaped into pills. Now that I'm off the road for at least a few weeks I am going to give it a good try and see if taking it in pill form helps reduce the craving for sweet things. I don't know what to use to sweeten my nearly de-caf tea... aspartame doesn't work for long in hot beverages and can't be used for cooking anything that needs to be heated. The stuff in pink has a pretty strong aftertaste for me.... And I guess they all have extenders in them that add more to the carb count, too. *sigh* Regards, What kind of drug is Stevia??? >Date: Mon, 26 Aug 2002 23:17:32 EDT > >What is Stevia? Guest guest
Have you ever tried Splenda? My mom is type II diabetic and uses this.. I've tried it in my coffee and what not. It's not like sugar, but not like the scary chemicals in aspartame and saccharine either.. it's derived from sugar. It's what they use in Pepsi One, etc... www.splenda.com RE:What kind of drug is Stevia???
