Sorry for the delay in answering, I was oot all weekend with Girl Scouts--

shopping at Mall of America. It was almost too much of a good thing....

Magnesium is a mineral, but you should take magnesium WITH calcium. Avoid iron,

mutli-vitamins, and things or this nature with your calcium.

I am not sure if yoga counts as weight bearing exercise, but I would suspect

that you can still walk with your hernias. We can butn the same amount of energy

in one mile whether we walk it or run it, the difference is in the amount of

time it takes to complete it.

Re # 2: Is magnesium a mineral? I've been reading over and over we should

take magnesium with our calcium citrate........

Re # 3: Does yoga count? I wanted to start a weight-training program, but the

surgeon said probably best NOT to do it till I have my 2 big hernias

repaired..........

Thanx,

Carol A

<< 2. Take your calcium I won't start another calcium war, they have already

been had. I advocate calcium citrate and have stated my peace. Just take

something, and take lots of it, and don't take it with any other minerals.

3. Do weight bearing exercise. swimming doesn't count.(sorry) walking,

weight lifting, jogging, roller skating, you get the idea--most likely you

have to be standing up.
