Guest guest
WOW!!! We must have hit the jackpot. All of the neurologists, and family physicians, we dealt with were fantastic in every way. I am sorry some are not treated as they ought to be. This awful illness is enough to contend with. Bad doctors are not what you need. Guest guest
Our neurologist was a peach. He even sent me a lovely sympathy card after Jack died. Judy Barb wrote: WOW!!! Guest guest
Thank goodness, perhaps I could still find one. Luck of the draw, where you happen to be has a lot to do with it, and who refers you. We should keep a database rating them and listing them by area, also, a section for compliments and horror stories. Sometimes a doctor works out for one person and totally fail to connect with another. Glad to see you're still keeping us company - sending warm fuzzies your way (akward but genuine fuzzies.) Guest guest
Ok, now I wonder if it is just women who aren't taken seriously. I think doctors listen to men and believe them faster then they do women. I think most of them want to say its a woman's problem, they might be abused by their husbands or think women might be a mental case. What do others think? I am not male bashing only putting out a question. Belinda > WOW!!! We must have hit the jackpot. Guest guest
, Very well said. A favorite question, we as pharmaceutical reps., would ask a person who was complaining about their doctor was: What do you call the person that graduates with the lowest GPA in his medical class? DOCTOR! They are not all the same and most don't want to be put on that pedestal. God Bless, Judy & Jim Stark RE: Neurologists/Barb Woodford > Folks, get off it! Guest guest
, I don't know what we are suppose to get off of? I think we are saying that not all doctors know about rare diseases and tell the experiences we have had. I think you just did that yourself, if I am not mistaken. Do you think that we kept the doctors who did this to us? NO! We fired them just like you did. That is why we finally have a doctor to help us. We just wanted other people to know that we have been there and done that and not to worry that they also will find the doctor they need. Like you also said not all women are in the pushy broad club but alot of us have learned how to be. So as I have said many times before everyone has the right to express their opinion and to tell others that yes this does happen but don't give up because there is a doctor out there to help you. As far as women going out and buying thier own car, I have done that also. I bought a 35,000.00 Ford Expedition in my name. I think I know how to do that also without my husbands help. If a person comes to me male or female and asked me if there was problems with that also, I could also say yes. So before you want to blow up and get on your high horse think about what we are saying and not what you think we said. Belinda > Folks, get off it! Everyone faces doctors that don't have a clue.
