My entire way of cooking and preparing meals changed. Basically, my kids have eaten the way I do all these years. Even before that, I always kept fresh fruit and veggies around to snack on. Prior to WLS, I would put the kids to bed and eat a pint of Ben and Jerry's alone. My kids never missed what they didn't have. Now my kids are almost 17, 15 and 12 and I don't have as much control of snacks away from home. They have the basic structure for eating well and none of them show signs of weight problems for now. I was 11 or 12 when I first started gaining. Nothing wrong with snacks. You just have to be careful what they are. Dawn
