Guest guest Posted October 25, 2002 Report Posted October 25, 2002 Hello! I want to apologize for how long I have been off line and not able to post or read. I am still in the hospital (San Jacinto Methodist Hospital in Baytown - rehab unit) and finally starting to see some light at the end of this tunnel. Today the surgeon removed a piece of the mesh repairing my hernia and found a large pocket that was holding a lot of puss and infection. With that gone I should heal faster and fight off any more infections. The plan is for me to be discharged on Tuesday. I am so excited - except for one night I have been in the hospital since July 31. It has been a long difficult haul. I will still be on a wound vac as I have a hole that is 7 " by 9 " all the way down to the mesh. I will still be on IV antibioctics and a morphine pump, but I should heal much faster now. I want to thank everyone who prayed for me or sent me cards, emails, flowers or whatever. I appreciate you all so much. Once I get home I will be back online more often.
