Guest guest
Belinda: Another thing we have alike, the Clay soil. I had a time getting it ready to plant also. Nothing like trying to work in wet clay soil and not being able to get out of it. Many a time I had to leave my shoes in it and come out with just my feet. I tried blub flowers, but not one of them came up. It may of been because I had the grandkids do it or they could of been old blub's. I would like to put in a rose garden somewhere, I want to do it to where I had 8 of them , one for each grandbaby and have each one a color that tell's what they are like. Wanted a yellow one with the red tip for . He always has a smile on his face, but so active and do the other's like that. The three grand kids that I don't get to see, I would do somekind of white color, as I don't know what they are really like, but still want a place for them in my garden. I just have to fine somewhere to fit the garden in. I'm running out of space. I think the love of working out in the garden comes from my mother, she loves it and her father did also. I didn't have any of my kids enjoy it, but my son little boy (5yr old) will come and help me work in it and his the one that did most of the blub's. Maybe he'll be the one that will learn to love the garden also. The special place to be with God. Like you I stick flowers in and if I don't like where they are I move them. I also move them if they don't like where I put them. I am still working on getting the 9 flowerbeds the way I want them. I have a lot of clay being in Georgia. I at first didn't get my soil prepared right and I was sticking flowers in. They don't always like Georgia clay so I have to redo the dirt in them. The 2 next to the house are doing well. I guess because I have been putting flowers in them the longest. I want more lavender this year. I love the smell of it. I went out about 3 days ago and was removing the dead and I haven't been able to do anything since then. It is so hard to be sick and do like I use to. I have to keep them going though because my husband said when it gets to where I can't he is getting rid of the flowerbeds. I have been the only one to do the flowers. No one else in my house wants to do them. I love flowers so much. I have glads coming up everywhere even where I haven't planted them. I love glads though in vases because they last so much longer than other flowers. I love zinnas the small variety. They are so pretty and multiply so nicely as well vincas. I havent been to the nurseries yet because we still have some cold weather. I am anxious to see what they are show casing this year. So that is what I am doing right now with my land. We also have a lot of hills that I have to deal with. Even though my kids say there is nothing to do, I never seem to see that there is nothing to do. Of course, when I mention to them what needs to be done they scatter and I don't see them for a while. hehe Sometimes that is a blessing!
