It's just a little cooler up here in NC. I also understand about the red clay. Grass (if you can get it to grow) is the only insurance against a river of mud! Last year we planted 6 trees about this time of year, and they did fine. We had to water them about three times a week. I also provided some fertilizer. Not too much, since you just want it to grow not grow dead. I also understand about the heat. It's not fun. Best wishes. Regards, =jbf= B.
