Sadly if personal experience is anything to go by, yes it is

part of the progression. I t becomes noticeable on days you do to

much, then also the day after, then always. I wonder each day (if

only for a moment) will it always be like today - never be able to do a

load of dishes without expected breakage, will I never be able to easily

follow the soccer ball around the screen. Rest helps, so does

doggedly doing it anyway, just have to learn not to beat yourself up for

being less than you once were. It is our concept of 'aging' on the

fast track, but in my head, I am exactly as agile and able as I ever

was.

Belinda, I sniff out

workshops like some people do garage sales. Our local

hospital has many, but it has gotten so large the right hand doesn't

know

what the left hand is doing. Its Arthritis Center sponsored the last

program.

We had a lot've BOOM VAROOM going today. The local Baptist church

had its

annual classic car show, I think the noise came from the wannabes that

were

driving around. It was too hot to go over, they usually have some

great

wheels of all kinds, not as nice as Timo's, but nice.

It was hard, but I parted with most of my purses today, I never thought

I

was so attached to them. Most were shoulder bags I carried everything

in

them, but they were too much for the wheelchair. There is an elderly

lady

near here who gives things away, I used to call her years ago, and

found

out she was still doing that on limited hours, quite a remarkable

person.

I haven't been able to walk for months but had been doing pretty

good

transferring myself until about a week ago - lots of shakiness. My

reaching

for objects is odd, like real slow and out of reach. This week my

gripping

seems lost, I just can't seem to make contact and my keyboarding is

really

difficult. Otherwise, I feel great, just slow. I was asked not to do

dishes

anymore, oh well. Is this part of the progression? I don't have any

appointments scheduled until August. Dodie in MO
