I'm new. My name is . I had my weight loss surgery in 1972.

I had cracks in the corners of my mouth with my weight loss surgery.

More than likely you have a B vitamin deficiency. Cracks at the corner of the

mouth are a symptom of vitamin B2(Riboflavin) and B6(Pyridoxine) deficiency.

I recommend you take a B complex vitamin (which includes all the Bs) since

they work better as a team. Good Luck! I actually had to be hospitalized and

put on IV vitamins to help clear it up. Hopefully, yours isn't as bad as mine

was.

Signs of B2 deficiency

Dry skin around nose and lips

Itchy eyes

Cracks/sores in corner of mouth

Abnormal hair loss

Trembling

Dizziness

Eyes sensitive to light

Where to get it

Leafy green vegetables

Fish

Eggs

Almonds

Wheat germ

Brussel sprouts

It's best to get this from vitamins but wouldn't hurt to add more of these

foods into your diet but because absorption is an issue often diet isn't

enough to help with a severe deficiency.
