Maybe a hint of grittiness. I use about 6-8 ozs of water to 2 scoops of protein, 1/2 tablespoon of calcium powder., and use the hand blender to mix. I tried mixing it with a little juice - blech! Way too gritty Kate
Guest guest
All calcium supplements contain elemental calcium. A 100% pure elemental calcium supplement would be rock hard and indigestible. There might be some ground oyster shell products out there that are almost 100% calcium, but oyster shell density is the density to expect from 100% pure elemental calcium. The information on the company website is that the product is " Calcium (calcium citrate) 1000 mg 100% (DV) " The supplement information at the www.thewayup.com site does not meet FDA labeling standards because it does not mention calcium citrate is an ingredient. That site indicates there is 1,000 mg elemental calcium, but does not mention that it is in calcium citrate form. The manufacturer's web site has the correct labeling.
