Guest guest
Woody, Sounds as if you may have sleep apnea. That is common with MSA patients. Aske your doctor about checking you out with a sleep study. Guest guest
Woody Do you only get short of breath when you lie down or can you get short of breath sitting or during the day? Do you wake at night short of breath? I also get short of breath on lying down but also on exercise(very little exercise) My respirologist did some tests and with me it`s because my chemo recepters to CO2 are set wrongly .A sensitivity to CO2 can be a problem in MSA but I dont think IT answers the question of why we get so sob on lying I dont know about sleep apnea...I wake up a lot during the night but fall asleep again before I know if it`s because I feel sob!You could look up Orthopnea on any search engine they give lots of reasons for feeling sob on lying but its also a good idea to ask for a Respiratory consult .Let me know how it goes Marg.Manson woodyboroboy wrote: i read this listserver a lot but only partisapate in post rarely, could anyone tell me why i feel short of breath at night and have a feeling of a pool of water at the back of my throt. i have been given an inhaler and been told i might have astma!,but somehow i don't think so. last nov, i had a six week bout of broncatis, something i have never had before. can anyone out there helpthanks woodyIf you do not wish to belong to shydrager, you may unsubscribe by sending a blank email to shydrager-unsubscribe
Guest guest
Woody, You could have either breathing condition. the inhaler should relieve symptoms associated withthe shortness of breath. Give it a try. If it persits, go see your doctor again and tell them what is going on. I've had asthma for the last ten years and know the feeling. There are other medications out there if you indeed have asthma.
