Guest guest
Bill could likely run with this one. After reading Ray's post, I realized I have no idea of what is normal (re: BP), I've been hiding form that one. If I knew I would then be inclined to care which would have me keeping track which would throw me into panics when no-one can do anything anyway. So it's been the ostich life for me. My sister (the neuro nurse) kept track a couple of days (she knows my views on having to know), and only said it was all over the bloody place. As far as water consumptions goes I think that might work if your body has the sense to hydrate your blood after drinking it. My body has other ideas, I just pee it right back out. The smallest increase in salt blows my abdoment and chest up, which msakes heartbeats and breathing rough. I've done the heart attack, I didn't like it. I determine eveything by how it all feels, headaches are usually together with extremes of one or the other (hi or lo). My veins form thick roadmaps when I am in the hi end and are not visible when BP is low. Heart rate seems to have nothing to do with BP or activity levels, more with how warm I am. My circulation is poor either way (cold feet and hands). Low BP is signalled in the extreme by syncope, numbness in my face and hands and a hard time making myself blink and breathe. Historically anger, pain and fear make my BP drop in a hurry, salt makes it go up in a hurry. These days emotions have no play in it at all. So I don't know that tracking it would be all that useful. I think there is such a thing as doing too much. If you collapse, it is too much. If it takes more than twice as long to recover, it was too much. In my case I cannot sweat and overheating is the worst thing I can do, so is putting strain on improperly warmed muscles. So, I exercise moderately and rest frequently in between. Whenever I become pig-headed and force on, I set myself back, often not recovering to my previous level of wellness. I think I have that through my fat head by now. Just the same you need to hit the brick wal occasionally to know where it is. Had a beastly night last night and not a much better morning, and after all that still constipated, can't eat a thing, clothing hurts, moving hurts. Going to pick up my neurontin now. I was serious about wanting some guidlines of what BP ought to be and when it might become critical. I'm just at a loss what could be done in any case. aletta mes vancouver, bc Canada web: http://aletta.0catch.com
