Guest guest
Re: Welcome to Graduate-OSSG Hi, my name is and my open RNY was May 3, 2001 by RoseMarie in Carmel, Indiana. I first weighed in at 264 and now weigh 160, and feel great. Daily activities are so much more manageable and I feel I have my life back again. Last year shortly after my surgery my father passed away after a year of fighting cancer. Five months later my mother passed away. They had been in our care since June, 2000. Needless to say life was pretty stressful and my post op recovery was not the most ideal. I ended up with an incisional hernia which was repaired March, 2002. On April 8, 2002, we adopted a 12 week old baby boy. (this makes three kids total). So, there's still some stress, but this is a " happy " stress if you know what I mean. I used to subscribe to the OSSG site to hear about everyone's experiences, thinking I couldn't wait to be a year out so I, too, could post!! Well, I ended up " unsubscribing " do to not being able to keep up with postings, but recently decided I need to make time for this support group which was so incredibly helpful even though I was a passive receiver of postings and unable to post. I have let a few things go by the wayside and am sure I will pay with my health if I don't get on the ball. I have been deficient with my Protein supps and vitamin supps, so I will be working on that. Since I am kind of stuck at this weight for about 3 months now, hopefully I can muster up the courage to " press on " and work on the remainder of my excess weight. Thanks to all of you who supported me, albeit passively in the past and to those new friends I will meet at this site, (since I finally qualify to post, YEAH). Love, F. Guest guest
Re: Welcome to Graduate-OSSG Hi, My name is Jo. I live in Oklahoma. I had WLS 8/27/01. I only needed to lose 85# and I have lost 75# I am a s-l-o-w loser but a loser. I have sabotaged myself once or twice by going back to unhealthy eating habits. Have been on a 2 month plateau. I am back on track with excercise and good foods.I plan on making my goal by Christmas.
