well, I have had glistening " stars " in my eyes from being touched by your

posts....

re the mothers who loved and surrendered their children, what women they are,

even though often negelcted and forgotten; they still shine.

re the mothers who received the blessed children, and loved them, what women

they are, even after all the frustration and aggrivation, still they shine.

re the persons those children became, what women and men they are now; they

shine far too.

The fathers also have their own shine, wherever there was love.

( I just finished an intro for a new book by Nikki McCaslin, professor at CU,

who wrote a compendium on famous adoptees, fostered children and orphanage

alumni. " In curanderismo, the Latino healing arts, we call those adopted, "

nacido dos veces, " the Twice-born. We believe they have a special mission and

destiny on earth, that they have the ability to bridge in ways that barely

dawn on others. They have the ability to love across cultural chasms, across

many worlds. In some ways, the adoption itself is secondary to their calling

on earth to be able to live with and bridge dualities that establish new

paradigms for others to follow. " )
