Guest guest
Hi Louise: I don't post very often...But, my neighbor was in kinda the same situation. She had some pretty heavy duty surgery several mos. ago. She had an incision in her stomach area (she had a colostomy reversal) & nurses came a couple times/wk. to dress the incision. It got worse, ended up being close to an inch deep, infected & not heeling. The dr. wanted to take her back into the hospital. She said no, she wanted to try caring for it herself. Turns out none of the nurses were caring for it properly. After she began to care for it herself, it heeled completely. The drs. were just amazed. Seems the nurses were never really cleaning it enough before dressing it. And, this is in Pennsylvania where the health care is supposed to be pretty good. So, I'm sure once you begin to care for his holes, they should improve. Even though it will be a long slow process. Took my neighbor several mos. to get hers heeled after the infection was eliminated. Take Care.
