Guest guest
I've been looking at ramps for the electric wheel chair that Fred got , so we can get it into the Van. I'm not sure what kind I should get. I have a Chevy Astro Van (full size Van) and I would like to put it in the back of the Van . Anyone out there that also has a Chevy Astro Van that has a ramp? If so what kind of ramp do you have? Also someone gave us a electric hospital bed. I remember some of you talking about sheets for the hospital bed's that were extra long and I know you said where you could find them. I think it was Wal Mart or K Mart, but I could be wrong. Am I? Guest guest
Hi! Just curious to what mobility modifications need to be done on the van? I have a dodge caravan. We can take the second seat out and get a ramp. What else needs to be done? Is there a special seat belt that needs to be added? Thanks, Belinda > My husband and I just purchased a van and in the process of looking I discovered that GM and Dodge both offer " mobility " modifications. Perhaps if you contact GM they could help you find a ramp like you're looking for. > > Beth > > ---------- FVJAMES@a... writes: > > From: FVJAMES@a... > To: shydrager@y... > Subject: Just wondering? > Date: Fri, 10 May 2002 04:41:38 EDT > > I've been looking at ramps for the electric wheel chair that Fred got , so we > can get it into the Van. Guest guest
Vera: Is your van new? If so, you can get a certificate from the dealer to help pay for a lift. We put in a swing lift that was used for $900.00 and had a rebate from Dodge for $750. Now isn't that a deal. It was really easy to use. Hooked the scooter with a hook and an electric cord lifted it to the right height then I just pushed it gently into the van and lowered the scooter onto the van floor. Really easy.
