Guest guest
I talked to my psychiatrist yesterday about different pharmaceutical/hormonal stuff. He made two important points to me. First, we looked at the " expected range " on my last testosterone test. It was 7.2 to 26. He stressed it was the " expected range " and not the " absolutely ideal " range. If you extrapolate that WIDE range to weight with each point being 20 pounds, you could say the expected weight range is from 144 to 520 pounds. We know how far that is. In other words, it says " this is the range we get when we test people, " not " if you're anywhere in here you're fine. " Secondly, he used glucose/insulin as an example of how vastly different people's responses to hormones were. He said most experts could agree that X is the number to shoot for on a glucose test. Given two people of the same height, weight, and the same amount over or under the ideal, it might take person #1 Y units of insulin to get to X and take person #2 Z units to get there. The discussion was based upon the fact that the prescribed amount of testosterone for me was achieving the desired results but amplifying irritation. Anyone notice? Half of the prescribed amount seems to be accomplishing all of the desired results without the irritation problems. Incidentally but importantly, I am achieving very good mood and mental health results with OmegaBrite omega-3 fatty acids. I'm taking about 3 grams a day and while it made me tired the first few weeks, it's leveling off with very nice anti-anxiety and anti-depressive effects. If you do a google search on " omega 3 fatty depression " or something like that, you can see all of the articles. Their site is www.omegabrite.com The most fascinating thing is that it has greatly decreased my use of white wine as a " fruit exchange.
