Guest guest
Hello fellow graduates! Boy, it seems like I've waited forever to write those words! I am Sharon, from Indianapolis, who had Rny with Dr. Margaret Inman one year ago TODAY! I've lost around 120 pounds and am doing great. There are a few of us from our local group here now, including Ann and A. who could be poster children for successful WLS in my opinion. They are both terrific people, as most of you already know. I've found the wisdom of this group invaluable during my WLS journey. I started lurking probably 6 months or so pre-op and have read the posts faithfully since then. I have taken what I've learned both through my own experiences/research and this group and have become somewhat of a crusader of education about post-op needs. It is amazing to me how little knowledge some of the " experts " have on this. I really would like to see more of a standard protocol set by docs worldwide with regards to post-op information for us. I understand that people have different surgeries but still, there needs to be some set protocol so you don't have 100 docs/dieticians recommending 100 different things. *sigh* This will happen in my lifetime, right? LOL Thanks to all of you for your guidance and suggestions.....I tell pre-ops all the time that they should lurk here and just listen to what is being said. They'll learn a lot! Sharon P.
