I haven't had a blood transfusion, but doctor is talking about it right

now. Blood counts seem to be on a steady decline, even with my vitamins

and iron from . (I'm taking everything religously, honest!!!)

Trying to hold off for a little while longer and asked if they could do

the IV iron first before getting so drastic with the transfusion. My

hemoglobin as of yesterday was 9.3. Had an endoscopy in June and was

found to have ulcers and gastritis and a hiatal hernia. Taking Nexium

twice a day and Librax twice a day and will be rescoped within the next

two weeks to check for ulcer healing. If they don't find anything there,

then will have to have a colonoscopy. No big deal, due for one in

February anyway. (strong family history of colon cancer) this will be my

fourth one and I'm only 39. Want to get this done as I'm staring school

next Wednesday and would like to be alert enough to learn something.

Hope you're feeling better and they find out what's causing your low

levels.

Regina
