Guest guest
No stones, and pretty sorry bones, here. Former mad-woman about my precious milk. Loved it. Did calcium carbonate in addition to milk, back when I was a normie. No stones, but followed advice found here from day one as a postie - calcium citrate, no milk. Still, severe osteopenia, but recovering. Weight bearing exercise, far less caffeine, sodas, etc. Some meds (yes, the dreaded Fosamax and Actonel, until acid came back to the pouch) and I am now doing better. Still, the doctor who replaced my knees tells me that instead of healthy yellowish bones, when he sawed my legs to affix the stainless steel to them, they resembled a mix - and I quote here - " your bones do not look like normal healthy human bones. No, they look more like a mix between grapefruit pulp and cranberry juice, in color and texture. " That, my friends, is downright scary! Osteoarthritis and osteoporosis. These things are painful, preventable (ok, only partially preventable on the arthritis one) and fixable. Take your calcium. Drink plenty of water. And be careful of kidney stones.... Fortunately, I haven't had to endure those. Gall stones were more than enough. May I never experience that degree of pain again as long as I live, thank you!
