Hang in there. I can imagine how much discomfort you're in. We're

thinking of you and praying that this procedure finally grants you

some relief.

Wow! That is amazing! I just may have to try that out. So how do

you get it in your mouth? Do you use a zip-n-squeeze bag? I was

able to unband myself for a bit today (the surgeon gave me the ok

today) but it was so hard to get food in there! I couldn't feel it

(the roof of my mouth is numb) so i didn't know where it was! It

was rather amusing. I had chocolate pudding all over the place!

Too funny.

Thanks so much for responding! I look forward to talking to you

again soon.

Hi Britt,

I'm still banded shut so I used a straw. I ordered the zip and

squeeze bags a few days ago but haven't received them yet.

Ha, I'll probably get them when I don't need them. If I don't

need them my plan was to offer them up for free on one of these

groups. I sure know what people are going through.

I get unbanded on the 19th. With my tongue I can feel the

roof of my mouth, so I don't think I'm numb...I guess the

proof will be when I can actually put something semi solid

in my mouth.

I tell you, eating a chicken pot pie through a straw is something

I never thought I'd do :)

Could you please e-mail me privately with Grace's story? I'm really interested in her liver issues, as we seem to be looking in that direction with Maddie. Thanks!

It depends upon your hairtype...but you generally need to go for a series of times. I went five or six times for my whole face...and I have some hairs growing back, so I'll go again. But the difference is that it really does come back more fine. In fact, some of mine are white blonde now (so laser can't get rid of them), and I have to wax occasionally...but very, very occasionally. And unlike electrolysis...you don't have to let the hair grow out for very long before they can do it.

Expensive, yes...but if you, like me, factor in the psychological torment, the cost of continuous electrolysis, waxing, and the scarring from electrolysis...the price is absolutely worth it. And it depends upon where you get it done...it can be cheaper in some places...just be careful about quality. This is your gorgeous face we're talking about!

RobynnTina wrote:

Is it horribly expensive? Does it grow back? I definitely need to have that done. Maybe that'll be my treat when I get to 100 pounds gone. Ahhh....a day without shaving my beard would be wonderful!! I'm just sure my husband thinks I'm some freak of nature growing a beard just as fast as he does! That's always fun--LaWanda being facetious! I was in a near fatal accident

in 1973, with a San Francisco Examiner truck--and no I wasn't driving

though I probably should have been. The man who was driving was an

airplane pilot, who had been working in Viet Nam, supposedly for the

CIA. I finally got a settlement out of the Examiner, but it took a couple

of years. I finally settled out of court just because I was really tired

of the whole thing. LaWanda At 08:00 AM 6/13/05, you wrote:
