Hi all,

I suppose I'm still in the " playing around with shakes " stage. I have one a day

when I have time. I'm still seeing benefits. Are you eating three meals a day

AND three shakes? How do you space them in conjunction with your meals? I add

crushed ice, milk and sometimes a banana. They are so filling I don't know if I

can eat too if I'm trying to down three/day.

Thanks,

Marilyn is writing my story! LOL!

Weightloss stopped for me at 6 months also. (I was eating 120gms of

food protein per day and hair was still coming out by the wads and

carb cravings were raging!!) NO WEIGHTLOSS until 10 months post op

when I began drinking the shakes. After 10 days of doing 3 shakes a

day consistantly, **VOILA* 13 lbs gone. I am now 16 months post op

and sitting at goal *134lbs*. That's about a 40-45 lb weightloss

after starting the shakes consistantly. I say consistantly, because

I was " playing around " with the shakes for a couple of months ..1

shake here, 2 shakes there..before I really found out the benefits of

the shakes.

If you are still a doubter about the benefits of Shake

supplementation, Check out the OSSG-Protein site. 1035 members strong

and seeing much success!

Just FYI..

Much love,

Shelby

I got on the Protein list a couple of months ago and have been " playing around "

with the protein supps. I haven't gotten to the " consistent " stage yet, but

darned I'm going to do it. I have at least one shake most days, and I was up to

3 a day. The problem is I hadn't completely given up the garbage food and to be

honest, I was in an auto accident a couple of weeks ago and I have been making

awful food choices. But I must say, even in the fooling around stage, my hair

seems to have stopped falling out and my nails are growing, and the extreme

fatigue I was experiencing is mostly gone (except lately because I've been so

emotional). When I was drinking 3 a day, I had no cravings for junk. In fact,

I passed on an ice cream cone when the family went out because I was looking so

forward to my protein shake with chocolate and peanut butter and ice! I want to

feel like that again and I know what I have to do. I also noticed I lost about

4 pounds from my 8 pound regain, but I didn't stick with it long enough to see

if I could start losing past that. I'm 17 months post-op and stopped losing at

8 months. Listen to these people about the protein. They know of what they

speak.

I do 6+ shakes per day, 4 small meals. I do not add extra calories or sugar

to mine. No milk for me, not ever. A banana is one of my 4 meals, so I'm

not putting it in as protein, since it's a gob of sugar. When I wanted

banana flavor, I froze slices & put a few slices in.

I don't count my protein shake calories, since there is nothing but protein

& water in there. The shake size is 4-8 oz, depending on which brand I've

used. It's just a beverage at this point.
