Guest guest
Well, at this particular point in time, my idea of fun is making it through a day without something getting broken, swollen, infected or just plain not working. Otherwise, I go bowling on Tues with the PTA ladies (who'd a thunk it?). I tried roller blading a few weeks ago and would like to get into that. Have always loved roller skating and am intrigued by the roller blading thing. But until the nose is healed, will not be trying anything daring. Apparently walking across a room has become somewhat of a hazard zone lately. I like to ride my bike after getting the kids on the bus. Take the dog for a walk. Went back to school to finish up my degree. Don't have much time to get into anything else. My plate (oh hush up) is way full right now, so trying anything that comes along that doesn't require much of a committment on my part. Plan on getting scuba certified sometime next year when things slow down. Have gone snorkeling and just love it and would love to try scuba. Never had the bends, sounds like the sport for me. lol Regina

But... >>> if you have osteopenia or osteoporosis it is not a good idea to take up roller blading. my orthopedic doc made me stop when i had my first bone density scan done. so just a word of caution for anyone out there thinking about trying on the blades. it is fun though, especially on the hills we have here.... paved hills at the community college.... easily can do 30mph. sue
