Guest guest
Hi Verlene : Thank you for the Bean Recipe. I'll write it down on a card and put it in my recipe file. I know it will be made many a time. Not even where they good, but you can fix them in the crock pot. I find any reason to use my crock pot. So this is great. Here is the recipe: 2 large (55 ounce each) cans of baked beans. I like to use Bush's, but any kind will do, I am sure. 1 large onion, chopped 1 green pepper, diced 3 Tablespoons mustard 1 cup Brown Sugar 1 Cup Ketchup 1 Cup Barbecue Sauce. I always use Kraft's Hickory Smoked Bacon - fried crisp and then broken up in to small pieces. I used about 8 or 9 strips. I mix all of this up in my large crock pot and let it cook on slow for 8 to 10 hours. I let the beans I brought to your house cook all night, since I had to leave my house at noon to drive to your house. I put them on about 10 PM. Hope this works for you and you enjoy them. This makes a full crock pot full. You could cut the recipe in half for less people. Love and Gentle Hugs, Verlene
