The 2002 Boston Conference

Hey, all --

Bill's and Carol's excellent reports have covered the substance of

the meeting and presentations. I want to add Marilyn's and my own

feelings about how rewarding it was to meet with such a thoughtful

and interesting group of patients and caregivers. Putting names

together with faces was a treasure. We especially enjoyed seeing how

funny so manyof the group could be. There were people there,both

caregiversand patients, who had marvelous wry and often laugh-out-

loud humor.

The sensibility of the meeting was one of animated communication and

inquisitive spirit, receptive to the very good presentations and the

often insightful observations of other attendees.

Both Marilyn and I found it to be a memorable experience, and want to

add our voices in passing along to all of you both the informatiopn

brought to us and the lively companionship that graced the occasion.

Well done to Don and Carol and Bill and Pam and all the other

planners and workers. Folks, it was well worth all of your effort.
