Guest guest
Hi Cindy I'm right smack in the middle. We live in northeastern Kansas and wind and tornados are something we are used to. We had 5 million in damage just from wind last Thu night in about a 20 mile area and sunshine and 80 on Friday. Then to almost ice, rain, and more wind over the weekend and nearly blew everything away today. It's fairly calm right now but I think we are looking for cold and rain for this weekend. Everything was coming straight from the north today. Brrrrr Grass is growing, trees are blooming, tulips have been blown to a frazzle today and we mowed the yard this evening and cleaned up the mess from today. I guess we're ready for whatever comes tonight. Ahhhh, Kansas, you gotta love it. It keeps you on your toes. Our kids have tornado drills more often than fire drills in school. :>) Sally in KS
Guest guest
Sally-we lived in Minneapolis for 8 years, saw the sky turn green in middle of the day, all the neighbors peered at one another from their basement windows in fear. It is scary. My sister in is Ohio, sometimes gets the tornado alley stuff, but she's north of most of it. Wondered why Bill or someone made jokes about Toto the other day!!! Guest guest
Cindy Oh, they all give me a hard time but I'm used to it. Even Tiger Woods knows when he isn't in Kansas any more!! Seen his last commercial? My roots run deep, Kansas born. I'm just an old farmer's daughter and the older I get, the more I love it!
