products rule clarified: READ CAREFULLY

As moderator and list owner, I have added a new rule to the group

description and the letter sent to everyone when they join.

" Under no circumstances may anyone promote commercial products in which

they, or other list members, have a personal financial stake. Messages

posted to this board are subject to moderation by the list-owner at any

time. "

This would mean that you cannot promote your own products on this board. It

also means that you cannot promote other list members products on this

board. Promote would include mentioning the seller of any product by their

real name or their list name.

Just in case this isn't clear, this would eliminate mentions of " Bill's

vitamins " or " Susie's vitamins " whether or not you are Bill or Susie, or

just one of their faithful followers.

If these rules are not followed, the list member will be placed on

moderation. If they persist, they will be removed and banned from the list.

Be very careful when you are mentioning the products that you take that you

do not refer implicitly or explicitly who's products they are or you will be

in violation of this rule. What you write in private emails is of no

concern to the list moderator/owner.

As usual, moderating and reading this list has remained very worthwhile for

me, but the big contest is over. I mean *really* over.
