Guest guest
Tim...... I know Regina will keep them on their toes this time. She's in better health this time. Big difference. If those docs knew what we know, they'd be terrified. I can talk anyone to death, Ceep will analyze 'em to death and make them wonder why the heck they even THOUGHT about putting an MD after their names, and I don't wanna think what Bill might do. I HOPE they're quivering in their boots, that's for sure. I h ave missed her specific set of problems on my own personal body, but I have been misdiagnosed, left to cool my heels in the ER for hours on end, and so on. Now Ceep has been up in her league, so she would be a very fierce body to mess around with. Love & kisses from all of us. Update on Regina > Hi all. Guest guest
Tim, tell Regina that if Debbie & I showed up together, we can talk almost non-stop, without breaks, for hours & days on end. That's to each other when we're happy. They should be VERY afraid if we aimed it at them with some anger behind it. love, mom RE: Update on Regina > Tim, THANKS for letting us know what was going on with Regina! Guest guest
They should be VERY afraid if we aimed it at them with some anger behind it.*********************** , Can you imagine TWO red heads aimed at the Docs! I really don't think they would be ANY contest for us. There is ONE thing I can't stand in someone who has my life in their hands.......and that is IGNORANCE! If they don't know about WLS and they have a patient that has had it.........DO RESEARCH! How hard is that? We do it for our selves........if they need to know what way to go for the research ASK US! Most of us are a wealth of knowledge about our procedures and we can teach them if they are willing to learn. OK getting off that soap box! " Actually, I had a PCP in Colorado who was very interested in learning more about my procedure, and read everything I provided to her from my surgeon, as well as internet articles I would come up with. And my original Navy PCP, the one who gave ME the idea to have WLS, knew virtually nothing about it going into the process, but he was more than willing to learn, and worked closely with my surgeon (who was a civilian doctor) so that he could help others after he saw the success I had. I try not to judge them all by what some of them do and say... as with anything else. ~~ Lyn

Guest guest
Did u ever come across a doc that was willing to even LISTEN, let alone LEARN from a lowly lay person? ****************************** Carol A, Yes as a matter of fact I have! He was a Navy Doc, in fact he was my family practice Doc. I think he learned A LOT with me. He listened and never made fun of any " theories " I came up with. Like how my meds weren't sticking with me because they pass through so fast. I was having trouble with my HRT and was having hot flashes and we upped my hormones slightly. He was great about other things also. Unfortunately he got transferred. Darn the bad luck. He said he thought of me every time he refered someone for WLS.
