Guest guest
Hi All, After reading discussion after discussion about protein drinks I feel I need to get on the band wagon~! My surgeon doesn't believe in them because he does such a short proximal on his rny. But I think after reading all the posts that I need to do this. I bought Designer protein Whey with glycerlean 35g of protein and 2 g of sugars, Saturday at GNC, called malted muscles, its time released (does that make a difference in our absorption rate?) and tried mixing it with yogurt, I could only get one bite down before I threw it out. Soooo I'm asking all of you what are your favorite recipes and hints. I looked in the file section but couldn't find a recipe file. At $42. dollars a pop I will definately be checking out Vitaladies site (I did try to order samples off that site but it wouldn't let me) for future purchases!!! They told me I could return it if I couldn't stomach it so I will look forward to hearing all your fav's! Thanks so much. Are we talking best in the sense of being self-flagelant???? I started out on Designer,,,,,,,,,,,,almost croaked on it,,,may have been the way I was making it,but bottom line in the end I gave up protein supps cause that mess would not go down my throat. At the urging of a waif from WA state, I kept trying other products and finally found one or two that were not only " tal-a-ble " but actually good. Sorry, I am not a Pro Score freak, just does not do my taste buds right, BUT there are others :-) Dan Slone Suirgery 5/2/2000
Guest guest
The Glycerlean is not a good choice for us. The plain jane Designer is better. Guest guest
Debi, Check out the OSSG-Protein group. In the database, there are over 80 shake recipes that you can print out. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/OSSG-Protein Hope this helps! Guest guest
Down boy! We're not talking flavor, we're talking absorption. The Glycerlean is basically a protein bar in a jar. It's been " wrapped " in glycerin to slow absorption, which is not a good plan for any partial stomach people. I'm not all together convinced it's a good thing for a completely stomached person. Good gimmick, though, huh?
