Thanks everyone for the nice warm welcome! Several people have asked what

a dulcimer is, so I thought I would tell you all at once.

It is a musical instrument. It has strings and sounds sort of like a harp

and/or guitar. There are many types of music played on it, from classical

and rock to blues and contemporary, but the most common is folk. I play at

various venues around the country and teach dulcimer here in the Dallas

area. Clear as mud now?
