Guest guest
I know that many people get dry cracked hands during the winter, but I have never been one of them. And it isn't even winter yet anyway. But for the last 3 or 4 months, I guess, my hands have been getting more and more chapped, especially between my fingers. I have used all kinds of lotions and creams, but it just keeps getting worse. I even put thick cream on at night and put a pair of white gloves over them to try to help moisturize them. Is this from malabsorbing fats? And if so, what do I do. They are really getting sore and starting to crack in spots. I drink 4-5 protein shakes per day (ProScore 100), and take calcium citrate, iron, multi, Vit D, Vit C, Vit E. I haven't been taking A lately because my Vit A levels were normal on the last testing (without supplementation) and I had heard that too much Vit A is bad. I recently was looking for A in dry form and haven't found any yet. I don't have any reason to believe that Vit A has anything to do with the dry skin, but it is the only one I am not taking, so I thought I would try the Beta Carotene version, just in case, since I understand that is the version that you can't overdo......is that right??? Any help would be appreciated. My sore hands will thank you.
