-Hi, This is Annette popping in again...As you probably know, I'm not

as knowledgable as most of you are on websites and medicines...I

really appreciate all that is shared on the subjects but where I am

now, I don't have time to look up things since caring and loving

takes most of my time, However.............I do like to share

occastionaly from our experiences......that we have plenty

of :).....'s bowels do great since we have started our bowel

routine but when the bowels begin to get a little too soft or a

little too hard I make slight changes in his diet. From experience,

told me (while he was still talking) that he couldn't eat too

many blueberries or they gave him constipation.....I thought it

strange since in my " book " fruit usually makes the bowels softer but

since I'm learning to be more observant and less " unflexable "

(commonaly called stubborn), I said ok, why not try it. I have found

that just one " feeding " with blueberries- straightens him right back

on course...(yes too much will make him go the other way) so I save

the blueberries for when he needs them...I get frozen blueberries

from his sisters farm then put them in the blender and mix with his

yogurt (lemon flavored is especially tasty, in my opinion). is

on a liquid diet with some blender foods when he is swallowing well.-

another thing that I've found is KFC chicken pot pie....don't ask me

why it works but it does......my theory is perhaps all the fat in the

crust....anyway there again,I've found the amount that works for

him.....discovered this before the bowel routine...when he was eating

regular food...he loved those pies but everytime he ate one, he got

constipated.....now he gets about 1/4 blended to thick gravy

consistacy (I add chicken broth ) when he gets

too " loose " ........works better then Imodium :-)

Got to get ready for church now, but I also want to let everyone know

that is doing " his best " right now. We had a pressure sore on

the bottom of his foot, and a skin cancer on his thigh that have

healed (a real miracle considering his diabetis and MSA) and his

bladder seems to be do real well. At his semiannual check up last

week the doctor said that he looks better then he's seen him in four

years.....Thank the Lord for his blessings. We hope to go to Tulsa

next weekend and watch our little angels " hunt " for eggs, and enjoy

an Easter family dinner. How great it is to celebrate every day what

the resurection means in our personal lives !

I also have " food tricks " that I use when they become too firm and

will be glad to share if anyone is interested...In

Annette,

I am glad to hear that is doing well, considering. I believe you

are probably right about watching which foods work for which purpose.

We are all different in that aspect. Have a very Happy Easter!

God Bless,

Belinda
