AND WHAT A YEAR IT'S BEEN!!!!

Hello to the Group I've lurked in for over two years!!! I had my RNY

last September 25, 2001, with Dr. Vohra on Long Island NY. Starting

weight 241/size 22-24. 5'3 " . Present weight 138/size 8-10!!!! I also

had reconstructive surgery on 7/1702, Tummy Tuck and Lower Body Lift,

with the most awesome surgeon, Dr. Zachary Gerut, LI, NY. I couldn't

be happier!

As most have stated before, a lifetime of obesity, depression, low

self esteem, led to some really bad choices and a life of unmet needs

and lack of confidence. Finally, at 51, I feel as if I'm 'coming into

my own " at last! I'm no longer with the abusive husband who made me

feel like junk via the streams of women he always seemed to practice

his infidelity with (I guess he wanted to get to 'perfect' infidelity

by practicing all the time). And the best of it is that HIS INSURANCE

paid totally for the RNY & almost all of the Plastics! One of the

best things that EVER came out of that marriage, except my wonderful

daughter!

I've relied on these messages for two years, and the information

within is valuable beyond words. I can't imagine having taken this

journey without the help,advice, knowledge, and collective

experiences of all of us BRAVE SOULs who chose this phenomenal path

to a better life. I so look forward to continued sharing &

information, and wish health and happiness for the group, past,

present and future members!
